Itinerary

Day 1 – Tokyo, Japan

Arrive in Tokyo and begin your Japanese adventure. Spend the day at leisure exploring this vibrant city at your own pace.

Day 2 – Tokyo

Explore Tokyo like a local using the city’s subway system. Visit Zojoji Temple and enjoy views from Tokyo Tower before an evening at leisure.

Day 3 – Tokyo

Discover Asakusa, the Imperial Palace grounds and Sensoji Temple. Experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony and visit the Tokyo National Museum.

Day 4 – Tokyo

Explore Tokyo’s famous Nishiki Market and sample local specialities. Enjoy free time to discover the city independently.

Day 5 – Tokyo – Ise-Shima

Travel by shinkansen bullet train towards Ise-Shima. Visit the sacred Ise Shrine, dedicated to the Shinto sun goddess Amaterasu.

Day 6 – Ise-Shima

Discover the coastal beauty and traditions of Ise-Shima. Meet Japan’s famous ama pearl divers and learn about their unique way of life.

Day 7 – Ise-Shima – Nara – Hiroshima

Travel to Nara and visit the impressive Todai-ji Temple and its famous Great Buddha. Continue by train to Hiroshima.

Day 8 – Hiroshima

Reflect on history at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Museum. Enjoy time to explore the city and its surrounding sights.

Day 9 – Hiroshima – Kyoto

Travel by shinkansen to Kyoto. Visit Fushimi Inari Taisha and its iconic rows of orange torii gates, then explore the historic Gion district.

Day 10 – Kyoto

Discover Kyoto’s cultural treasures, including the beautiful Golden Pavilion. Experience the city’s traditional temples, gardens and historic neighbourhoods.

Day 11 – Kyoto

Enjoy a day exploring Kyoto at your own pace. Discover more of the city’s temples, markets and traditional streets.

Day 12 – Kyoto – Seoul, South Korea

Fly to Seoul, South Korea’s vibrant capital. Settle in and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 13 – Seoul

Visit the Korean Demilitarized Zone, including Imjingak Park, the Bridge of Freedom and the Dora Observatory. Gain a fascinating insight into the history and ongoing division of the Korean Peninsula.

Day 14 – Seoul

Hear firsthand stories from a North Korean defector before enjoying a traditional lunch hosted by a Korean family. Experience a personal insight into everyday life in South Korea.

Day 15 – Seoul

Visit Gyeongbok Palace and watch the ceremonial changing of the guard. Explore colourful Insadong Street before enjoying a farewell dinner in Seoul.
